Dusty dusty dusty

The office is damn dusty! It's a battle for me almost everyday when I go to work. Will start to sneeze, eyes get watery and feel gorgy.Time to vacumn the place! %&T^$&^R^&%O* The irony is that recently we hired a better cleaning lady who cleans our tables, every morning, clean up our pantry and maes the place better.BUT BUT, i started to sneeze more!Absurd yah.

My theory: maybe she had 'activated' the layers of accumulated dust, therefore the mites are acting up after dormancy.

Apparently, a few of my colleagues are like me, the 'dust detectors'.One of them has a very sensitive nose ot the point that she has to go home if her sneezing gets really bad.See...evidence of unhealthy working environment.

More vitamin C on the way for me. I feel much better after leavng the office. I was so like looking forward to go home today....so that my 'rudolph red nose' can get a break from the rubbing and sneezing...

Behind the driver's seat

Had my first driving (I was about to type 'diving'..haha) lesson yesterday at 8am *yawns*.Was really nervous the night before and even called my girl pal (she's the one who recommended me her instructor). Thoughts such as 'What if I can't even move the car?! Will i bang into someone?Worse, will I destroy this car????' flooded my mind. It sounds silly that someone like me fret over a teeny-weeny thing like this. BUT I WAS DAMN NERVOUS!!

The first 30 minutes were spent on him telling me what to do such as 'this is the clutch, brake and accelerator. Must remember to look at blind spot.....etc' When it was time for me to sit on the driver's seat and drive the car (with his help of course), I was really excited! Thankfully, there were not many cars around. So..when the car moved, my heart beat very fast. 'I can actually drive!!' That kind of exhilaration is definitely beyond description!

Spent 1.5 hours on the road, from Ang Mo Kio to Ubi area. The engine stalled twice when I misgauged the biting point. At one instance, I braked too early and fast and the car jerked forward. So scary. The part I like most is changing gears, hee.

Well, as most of the beginners like me would probably identify with me on this. I was honked by the 'seasoned drivers' twice at traffic junctions! Hello!! Can't you see the 'L' plate! I panicked when they honked at me..and fyi, those were the female drivers.I was like, "Give me a break, one of your 'jie meis' is learning to drive here..hello!!??" I felt like just putting up the sign that says, 'Female learner on board'. But i guess better not, otherwise the other gender will have a chance to spread stories on how female drivers 'perform on the roads'.=P

Next session is on sunday! 8am.....
